Sonshine for the Soul
A Congregational Care Ministry

SCROLL DOWN FOR DONATION INFORMATION

Sonshine for the Soul is a new ministry at St Simons Presbyterian Church that focuses on residents in skilled care/long-term nursing, and hospice care.
All are welcome to join! More info about this ministry can be found below:

  • The recipients are church members and a few designated others at Magnolia Manor who have no family/friend connections.
  • The committee gathers the 3rd Friday at 4:00 pm at church to plan how we can bring a little of God’s sunshine to their day through small gifts and cards of love from SSPC.
  • Once a month in teams, we deliver these gifts and try to spend a short time visiting with them face-to-face, if possible.
  • We also hope to coordinate visitation with the same resident over time to make a more personal connection and keep them informed/involved with their church family.
  • Please contact Kelly Johnson or Pat Heran if you are interested or have questions.

We want to reach out to our Congregation for their assistance for new or gently used items listed below to help share a little “Sonshine” with those in need. We are collecting through the end of June.

Donations may be dropped off in sonshine for the soul box inside church office.
