The mission of St. Simons Presbyterian Church is to celebrate God through fellowship, worship, and serving others. One of the ways we serve is by offering to God and neighbor our individual gifts of time, talent, and resources. There are several ways to give financially to the church:
Online: You may donate online directly.
Scheduled bank pay: you can set up a regular schedule with your bank to mail a check to the church.
Sunday morning offering: you can place your offering in the offering boxes located at the entrance to the sanctuary on Sunday mornings.
Mail: you can mail your offerings to the church office.

Dear Friends, This year we want to tell “some” of the story of SSPC by looking back to 2021. Our hope is to educate and motivate you to respond prayerfully and gratefully with your commitment of time, talent, and treasure for the coming year 2023. It’s called a “narrative budget” and is full of facts, figures, and pictures of faithful service, which you can look at and read for yourselves. If you have any questions, Jeannine Torbert (Director of Finance and Admin) or I will be glad to answer them.
What’s more important to look at and read is what’s on our hearts. Instead of the bold, outlandishly large, false narrative our world casts on us, find the questions bubbling up in the small print: Am I a giver or a taker? Why do I feel like I never have enough? Do I give out of guilt or gratitude? Listen to these questions again and again and we will discover the “story” that writes our lives.
If we don’t like how the story is going, simply rewrite the narrative. In place of “taker” put “giver.” Instead of “scarcity,” write “abundance.” Instead of “guilt,” write “gratitude.” Turns out, the more we rewrite in our hearts the narrative of God’s giving, the more our story narrative turns toward one of GRATITUDE.
Take the time this stewardship season to write and rewrite, practicing it over and over, 7x70 times, “I am grateful.” Spell it out, in every font size, on every occasion, good or bad, what “I am grateful for...” Do it enough and we can change the narrative from one of anxious scarcity to grateful abundance. After which, the story of your stewardship response will be gratefully heartfelt.
Yours in gratitude, Rev. Dr. Steve Goyer Interim Pastor
