“Let us not love with words or speech but with actions in truth.” - 1 John 3:18
Our ecumenical team will more than likely go to Griffin GA (Spalding County) this year. The dates are October 22-27, 2023. Please sign up if you are fairly certain that you can go.
A tornado hit on January 15, 2023 and 2,000 homes and businesses were destroyed. Spalding County was one of seven counties in GA that were declared federal disaster areas. Shortly after the storms passed, the Spalding County Sheriff said there was at least $17 million in damage across the county, and he expected that number to go up.
WHY SHOULD YOU GO? • To help others who are not as fortunate as we are • To meet new and wonderful friends • To try something new • To serve others who need and appreciate your help • To learn about yourself and your limits • To learn new skills • To participate in the spirit of giving even though you know it is selfish because you will get more out of it than you can possibly imagine • To help a family in a small way toward returning to a better home • God may be calling you to go and serve
