Join us for Children's Sunday!
Date: Sunday, October 23, 2022 Time: 10:30 AM Worship Where: Sanctuary Each week in our bulletin you can find printed these words: “All children are welcome in worship.” One way to interpret that rather straight-forward sentence is that we simply welcome the presence of children in worship. But in truth and in practice, we actually mean a lot more. We are also welcoming their curiosity, creativity, laughter, energy, singing, and faith, recognizing them for what they are: God-given gifts to the church. Sunday, October 23 at 10:30 AM is Children’s Sunday at St. Simons Presbyterian. It is certainly not the only Sunday when we welcome children to worship, but it is nonetheless a special one in the life of the church each year as the gifts of children are front-and center leading us in the worship of God. You do not want to miss it – hope to see you there!
Donations This year our children will be collecting food for Sparrows Nest during the month of October. Donation items can be dropped off on the veranda at SSPC or brought to Children's Sunday on October 25th. THE FOLLOWING NON-PERISHABLE ITEMS ARE ESPECIALLY NEEDED AT THE SPARROWS NEST: Canned Chicken & Tuna Vienna Sausage Canned Fruit Soups Spaghettios/Ravioli Rice or Instant Potatoes Chili or Pork & Beans Pasta or Egg Noodles Spaghetti Sauce Canned Vegetables Macaroni & Cheese Pudding Cups/Kid’s Snacks Peanut Butter & Jelly Cereal or Oatmeal Toiletry & Household Items Pancake Mix & Syrup |
