Caregivers carry an incredible weight—emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Whether you care for a child with special needs, a spouse, a parent, or a loved one facing illness or disability, you are not alone.

Join us for a Caregivers Peace Retreat led by author and speaker Mary Tutterow, creator of The Heart of the Caregiver series. Through gentle teaching, personal stories, and Scripture that speaks directly to the caregiving journey, Mary helps participants reconnect with God’s peace for deep healing and transformation.

During this two-hour retreat you will:
  • Reflect on the stresses and emotions of caregiving
  • Explore Scripture passages that bring clarity, comfort, and hope
  • Hear practical wisdom from Mary’s decades of experience
  • Explore the Five Steps on the Path to Peace
  • Experience rest, renewal, and a reminder that peace is possible—no matter your circumstances

This event is free and open to the public, and we warmly invite caregivers from throughout the Golden Isles community.

About Mary Tutterow
Mary Tutterow is a wife, mom, author, speaker, teacher, and caregiver. She has devoted much of her life to caring for loved ones with special needs, chronic illness, or disabilities — including her adult daughter and her mother-in-law — giving her deep insight into the emotional, spiritual, and practical challenges caregivers face.

She is the author of The Heart of the Caregiver, a transformational study that has supported caregivers for more than 10 years by helping those who feel overwhelmed find renewed purpose, joy, and spiritual grounding. She also wrote The Peaceful Caregiver, which offers practical guidance and spiritual encouragement for caregivers seeking lasting peace in the midst of ongoing challenges.

Her work spans books, videos, retreats, workshops, and online teaching — all created to help caregivers reconnect with God, experience community, and rediscover hope.

A former anchorwoman and marketing executive turned ministry leader, Mary now writes, and teaches, offering compassionate, faith-filled support to caregivers around the world.

Testimonials

"Dear Mary, the retreat was amazing! 'Thank you' doesn’t begin to say it all.  Your deep meaningful messages are continuing to seep in and will for some time as I study your book and better learn every day to walk the walk."

"You were/are a gift from God. I was soooooo encouraged, redirected and inspired by every word you spoke and every scripture we read today. Hugs, thanks and blessings…"

"This retreat was a lifesaver for me! It not only taught me strategies that I could use; it also put me in touch with others that were on the same type of journey!"
