DAY OF SERVICE
Saturday - September 24, 2022    |    8:00 AM - 1 PM

You are invited to join us for a Day of Service with St. Simons Presbyterian Church on Saturday, September 24. The Day of Service is an intergenerational event that brings together people of all ages and abilities to go out in teams and volunteer at local organizations around Glynn County. Worksites for the 2022 Fall Day of Service include Morningstar (spreading pine straw and landscaping), Habitat Build Site (building a fence), Habitat Restore (moving furniture and retail items into storage), Keep Golden Isles Beautiful (picking up trash undertone causeway bridges), Second Harvest (helping set up for their annual fundraiser), International Seafarers (spreading pine straw and planting flowers), Yard Work for Homebound Members, Church Site (various projects inside and outside the church), and Food Team (setting up for breakfast, cleaning the kitchen, preparing lunch). The work will meet at 8:00AM, begin working at 9AM, and conclude at 12PM. All ages and abilities are welcome and encouraged to participate!

We will meet at the church at 8AM for a quick breakfast and devotion before heading to our worksites and gather back at the church at 12:00pm for lunch together and a time to share about our mornings.
Day of Service Overview
  • Time: Start at 8:00am in SSPC Social Hall; serve at worksite from 9am-11:4am; lunch and sharing at 12:00pm; finish by 1pm.
  • Cost: Participants are asked to make a $10 donation/person to help cover the cost of food and supplies.
  • Assignments: An email with final details - including worksite assignments and a complete schedule for the day - will be sent out the week before.
