Caring Hands Mother's Day Offering Presbyterian Homes
On Mother's Day, St. Simons Presbyterian Church participates with other Presbyterian Churches in Georgia to collect a special offering for Presbyterian Homes of Georgia. Presbyterian Homes are residential retirement communities. Presbyterian Homes is a Christian ministry providing exceptional services offering retirement living for those 62 and older. Living accommodations include residential cottages and apartments, assisted living, memory support, and nursing care are available at our two continuing care retirement communities. Never in the history of Presbyterian Homes has a resident been asked to leave because of outliving his or her financial means. Caring Hands is a ministry of love benefiting the most vulnerable residents of Presbyterian Homes of Georgia. Caring Hands Fund bridges the $4 million gap between Medicare reimbursement and the actual cost of care provided to residents. Caring Hands donations also allow in-home services to help residents in independent apartment homes maintain their independence.
