Hunger Action Team

We recognize that many problems start with a lack of basic necessities for living - food, water, and shelter. A few years ago, a group of members from SSPC decided to do something about hunger in Glynn County, targeting their efforts on getting nutritious food into the hands of hungry school children.

Our Hunger Action Team (HAT) has built relationships in all of Glynn County's Public Elementary Schools and supplies nutritious snacks for children who are not able to provide their own food. The HAT also has provided dozens of boxes of emergency food to help carry families through Christmas and Easter breaks, when their children do not have access to free and reduced meals at their schools.

The HAT is made up of people who love addressing a difficult problem - hunger - through tangible actions. If you want to help make a difference in this way, call the church office to find out when the next meeting of the Hunger Action Team will be.
