Have you ever heard God's call to leave your comfort zone and reach out in love to your neighbors throughout the world? We have at SSPC, and we have found that one of the best ways we can do this is offer our community the opportunity to leave the familiar behind to serve God in new places.

In 2010 we offered trips to both Jamaica and to Charlotte, North Carolina. Many of our youth go on these trips, and they have been a great place for them to grow in faith. Our 2009 trip to Jamaica featured 28 people who spent one week serving God through the wonderful organization ACE (American Caribbean Experience).

These trips give us many stories to tell. They help us to see God working in the details of life, and they help us return to our homes ready and eager to make a difference where we live.

We urge you to consider joining us on our next mission trip. You will not be disappointed!

We are returning to Jamaica in 2012, and you are invited to join us in this great adventure!

The dates of this year's trip are July 14-21, 2012.

As we did for the past summers, we will serve with American Caribbean Experience in Jamaica, a group that cares for the whole person - body and spirit. If you cannot join us on this trip, please do pray for the people of Jamaica and the participants of this trip.

Our mid-high youth will return to Charlotte from July 17-22, 2011.

You are invited to send your mid-higher or to come along as an adult volunteer!

The first orientation and training session will Sunday, February 27, 2011 at 3:00 in the youth suite.
