Helen Alexander, Church Administrator 

After attending West Virginia Wesleyan College in her hometown of Buckhannon, Helen later received her BBA in Accounting at the University of Oklahoma and became a Certified Public Accountant in both Oklahoma and Georgia.  She moved to St. Simons in 1980 where she has worked as a CPA in private  practice, director of the Small Business Development Center local government services director for Coastal Area Regional Development Center, and executive director of Golden Isles Arts and Humanities Association.   She also has taught various courses at Coastal Georgia Community College on a part-time basis.

Helen began her position at St. Simons Presbyterian in March 2002.  She is responsible for all financial accounting for the church as well as purchasing supplies and scheduling use of the facilities and vehicles. A mother of three adult children and one college student and grandmother of six.

Betty Carter, Secretary

Betty will complete her 20th year at St. Simons Presbyterian Church on November 1. She is a native of Toombs County, moving to Brunswick from Vidalia, Georgia,  in 1962.  She and her husband Hugh have three sons, Alan, Andy, and Keith, and a daughter, Kerri, all of whom attended Brunswick High School. Betty is "grandmama" to seven grandchildren. She and her family attend Norwich Baptist Church in Brunswick.
